1990 transmission

I have a 1990 2wd ranger that has a bad transmission. It has a Mitsubishi FM132 in it now that only has 4th gear. I do have a spare Mazda M50D-R1 for a 2wd truck laying around and TRS tech said it came with that also? the bell housing is very much different and not sure if the blocks were different thats why or if this transmission would work

If the bell is different on the M5OD then it came off a different engine. The FM transmissions had a bell housing that could be taken off, but the M5OD's is part of the case and can't be removed. Sounds like you need to go find a transmission.
