So My a4ld crapped out, and I have a trade set-up for my 33x12.50's tires from a truck I seized up a while back, for this tranny. Just curious if I'll be able to swap it in on my 87 ranger, 2.9 liter (also 4wd) I'm told this one is also the 2.9 liter engine. See any problems with this idea? Are they the same, or different ones. I haven't had a chance to drive out and look at it, It's my girlfriends brothers, so I know it runs and everything he doesn't know what it is. I'm e-mailing him a picture of my tranny pan see if it's an a4ld or not. But I thought I read of a few models that should slide right in (maybe c5?)

If you have any information or advice let me know =)

I'm having the current one rebuilt once it's out to save labor and have it laying around incase this one goes out. (I'm a student so money gets tight, but I'll be able to rebuild it or have it rebuilt towards the end of summer)

Thanks, if you need more info let me know
