1990 Ranger fiberglass bed with ford stamped in tailgate

Bought this for the tail gate . It was an online auction figured it was an early ranger . It is fiberglass . Been told that the USPS ordered these in 1990 . Anyone know the history? Thanks

That's a first for me. It looks very similar to the basic metal bed.

Outside does look the same. Tailgate mounts different, got one tool box for it , it actually slides down in a pocket , no need to mount it . I can post more pictures if you would like to see it . It’s all in great shape . It’s a Ranger Custom.

Id be tempted to run a Marti report on it, I doubt it was USPS. I've only seen one other and it was a prototype.

This guy owned it since 2006 .I also now the two guys who had it before him . The one who sold it to him said he researched it and that’s why he bought it . If it was a v- 6 I’d fix it . But its a 4 cylinder 5 speed .

Man, I've got a couple of good short beds with good tailgates. If you weren't so far from me, I'd trade you just to get my hands on that unusual piece.

Unfortunately it's too far for it to be feasible for me to get to and I don't need another truck project.

Depending on where in KY you could be as little as a 5 hour drive away. Lots of TN members. We might could setup a relay. It'd be a lot of trust involved though.
