I have got caught up in filtration since I removed the factory housing off the motor. I needed to find a good filtration solution. I liked the idea of using a filter off a 5.9 Cummins but when I searched for a filter head to match it I couldn't come up with anything atleast that I can get my hands on right now. So I just machined my own and set it up for hydraulic fittings into it. I have a oil thermostat on the way for the oil cooler. I have to drill and tap some mounting holes on the head but I'll do that when I can figure out how im going to fit it all in the truck.

Skills can be learned.

If I added up my time and material and research time. This isnt s super cheap part but it's rather satisfying to be able to do things like this
LOL. Flip your phone sideways and look at my 88 build thread.

It's not the economy I chase. It's the knowledge.

I used the caterpillar setup so I had easy.giant cost effective 2 micron absolute filters and a hand primer.

2 micron will be a bypass filter I plan on running a second filter but I'll worry about that after I get it together. I am going to plumb for it but then just plug it until later

This is for a oil filter the fuel filter set up on this thing is already efficient enough to get it rolling

Little bit of intercooler action.

Guess the battery is getting relocated to the box.

I made my intake more intercooler ready I'm going 2.5" right now even then my vw intercooler is only 2" it was a good price and fits nicely there. If I decide to throw more power at the motor later I wanted to have a more common after market size.
I cut out the old egr port since it was blocked off already. You can see the intake in the truck on the post before. I need to make up the other little patch and them I will have to clean it real good before attempting to weld it

wow. i am digging your approach. little tight. but really nice packaging.
