1990 Ranger 2.3L Not Starting (Nothing)

Hey I've been having a major issue with my ranger starting. When I go to crank I'm getting nothing but some lights (the seatbelt, caution, and antilock) come on and the Battery needle moves, no sound either. I just recently replaced the alternator and Battery so I know those are not the issue. I've looked around and figure it might be a starter issue, would think its not the solenoid because no clicking. Anybody have a idea of what my issue may be? Sorry there are a ton of threads in the 4 bangers sub forum.

Check the grounds for the engine, cab, and check the fusible links connected to the 'battery' side of the starter relay. The ignition switch could also be failing, which happens with age. Take the steering column cover off and take a look at the switch( a slide switch mounted further down the column, connected to the lock cylinder with an operating rod). When they fail, they actually start to come apart.
The fusible links provide power to all the systems. Unless you have a 'PDB - Power Distribution Box', containing all sorts of fuses and relays.

You said it was not clicking? The solenoid should omit a audible clicking noise when you turn the key. I would make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight, make sure you are getting 12 V to the solenoid and make sure the nuts are tight for the power wires from the battery, to the starter.
