1989 Xtreme Ranger Build.

I priced out the BH 38622 and 38623 brake lines at NAPA and its $55 for Both. Hopefully these will work out.

I have a guy locally that will turn my rad arms into extended ones. But i will run stock for now.

What are those brake lines off of? Did you just use those part numbers at Napa?

Ya i did, they are $55 for both. I was also told that brake lines from a suburban should work as well.

So i need the rear drive shaft, is it the exact length i need?

I did this in my 89, you'll need to change your rear pinion flange on the axle or change the one on the driveshaft. unless your putting in an explorer axle then you shouldn't have to worry about the flange at all.

haha he beat me to it.

what johnny u said.

Thanks venom.

If i used the stock rad arm and fabbed it up to make it a extended. How long should the tubing be for my six inch lift?

here is a picture from the forums of what i want to do.

Im wanting measurements of this set up. So i can make myself a pair.

If you choose to build this style. Don't end the pipe right the base of the arm. Run the pipe along the inside of the stamped piece tieing it in throughout the entire distance. Trust me it'll make it alot stronger.

Alright, not to hijack more, but I picked up a pair of those brake lines. My question is, on the driver side stock one, there is a spot for 2 hard lines to go on the flex line, on these ones there is only one spot. I just wanted to let you know it wont be a bolt in, or a least in my case.

Any ideas on how to fix it so it will work??

The arms you posted are mine :D

They are 12" longer than stock, this is just the right length so you can still use your tranny x member. And yeah, make sure you run the tubing a ways into the stamped arm, if you look closely at the pic, you can see the heat mark from where I welded it, it's almost exactly where the red box was drawn in. :icon_thumby:

No progress has happened yet, other then changing the oil because it had coolant in it, I have to replace my Intake Manifold Gaskets. I ordered Pacesetter Headers should be here in the next few days. My 15x8 Cragar rims should be here this weekend so ill be mounting them on my truck as soon as i get them. i will have pictures.

I changed my mind on the 6" lift and looking into a 4" Rough Country Lift kit.
