1989 ranger suspension

what does spring code on door v3g mean ? it rides stiff .I am guessing
heavy duty, also has 4:10 axle, v6 2.9 153000 miles new front shocks
made no change.It had 80000 miles when I got it 18 yrs ago. always
rode ruff, just wondering.
