Alright i figured since i am sitting inside sick and got nothing else to do i will let everyone know what is going on with my truck. How's that sound? 
I first brought the truck to this site a month or so ago due to having shifter problems, and i never figured out what i needed to buy with our local parts dealers. But i found one that can get the parts i need and so once i have the cash i will be getting that fixed.
Now yesterday i had some problems with the truck again. Battery went dead and even before that the speedometer didn't work. I had trouble recognizing the part for that speedometer until i went to the local advanced auto parts and had them look at it. Man there said the reason i couldn't see where it matched the ones you guys showed me, is because my stupid cousin broke it in half when he pulled it out. So the guy went outside and helped me get the piece of and thats when i facepalmed. I put the new one in with the pinion gear i found and took it for a test drive. It worked!
Next we have the battery drain problem. I had it all checked out and the truck has a new batter and new alternator and doesn't seem to be pulling the power it used to when i was driving with the lights on. But here is what i did notice about the old battery, first it was a marine battery and second it had a habit of hitting the metal hood each time i hit a small bump, which would make it spark. So i am thinking that was the reason for power loss. But i am not 100% sure yet as i have no tested it for an extended amount of time at night.
But i did purchase one of those charge it up at home max power starters that you can take with you and it's like jumper cables without the second car. So sooner or later i'll get a wild hair up my butt to go see my lady friend and thats when it will be tested.
