So i understand bolting the engine in and mounting everything up that's not an issue. but I'm wanting to run a foxbody fuel injected engine. fuel wise all i need is a better fuel pump right? And is there someone i could buy an already converted harness from? I'm no wiring genius and i do not want to risk messing up my current harness. i will be pulling the entire engine trans and all the harnesses connected to the engine out of a foxbody. i read the wiring guides but i can't quiet understand all of it. and what about tuning? Since id be using the 5.0 computer would i still need it tuned?

Fuel pump

So for your fuel pump,,,,, as you can read from my post and update on my 88 Ranger,, SVT has been a BIG HELP!!! But I am running a Explorer harness and pcm.. Been LOTS of work! But,, mine is running now just have more bugs to work out!. My truck was a running 2.9 v6 truck, in tank pump and frame rail pump. I have done nothing but hook the lines up to the Explorer motor. I have 40-45 PSI and "seems" to run just fine with stock pumps.. But, as I get further along,, when I get it running good enough to freeway drive,, and pull a trailer,, we will see if this is enough fuel PSI..
Hope this helps with the fuel question.. For the other questions,,,,,, I am learning this stuff day by day!!!

Your stock fuel pump is more than enough to support a V8. As far as the wiring, its not that hard. I'd take it on, but I'm not taking on any more jobs as I'm moving my shop soon. If you do the research, the wiring won't be hard....

The wiring is intimidating at first, but if you take it slow and check everything you should be okay. You may find it difficult and expensive to get a Mustang harness, but there are others you can use, like Crown Vics and Marquis. Just make sure to get the EVTMs (see Ebay) for the year vehicles you are working with. I am just finishing my wiring and will soon apply power--hoping I don't create a smoking mess! BTW some folks say the Econoline harnesses have more flexibility(i.e. length in the right spots)--I wouldn't know- I'm using a Marquis harness and had to move the EEC to the drivers side to make it work for me.
