1988 Bronco II Virginia Trail Build

Gotcha... you may have said it before and I just didn't make the connection. Cool stuff...

Really really small ohh shit grab handle 😆

Here is a side view don't hit it as hard as I did putting the nutserts in 😂 but thanks for the hook up on the sensor mounts!!!

Console looks awesome. The cupholders seem a little far back.. but looks to be the only good place to put them so it is what it is.

It did seem far back but surprisingly pretty comfortable to reach for with the seat being bucket and narrow you can reach it pretty easily. Imaginery beer there 😂

I'll have the same cup holder dilemma with my install. I'm thinking they will have to go on the back of the console. It come with pre-drilled holes front and rear... installers choice on location.

Yeah I'm okay with their location. You got your console mounted Gump? Want to see it

Funny you ask... my wife just asked me if it really needed to be sitting on the kitchen table... :icon_rofl:

I have a direction/plan for installing it... I just need both arms functioning properly to execute the plan. I think much of my progress/upgrades to the G-Unit are coming in the spring. Weather will be far better and my arm should be much better by then.

Ah yeah doesn't look too awful of a reach actually

Like it Gump. Looks a lot more comfortable to put your arm on than mine. Well I went ahead and did my 20 minute break in this afternoon. A few vacuum leaks fixed and it sputters every minute or so while running. Check engine light on and when break in was done noticed some fuel running out of the intake..? I’m sure timing is out but looks like I have some kinks to work out…

6 or 8 inch? I just got some Corbeau Moab seats. When I get those in the Tuffy is next. Although I like RumPunch's Millennium Falcon console better!

This is the console I used, sorry should have included this initially when I started working on it if anyone is interested. Cup holder was additional. It fits snug between the two buckets I just made sure anything bolted on the side was on the LH side so the bolt heads wouldn't tear the seat up on the passenger when it slides forward. I think they have an armrest cushion accessory but I did not look into it too much, would rather have the cupholder. I may make something later if I find the need

Here is the engine running during break in, pretty smooth for this portion although it was sputtering or something, seems to be running rich, timing nor idle have been set.. The fan control sensor was not doing it's job so I had to run the override switch the whole time but the engine never went above 190. After it was shut down I did notice some fuel coming from the throttle body... Not really sure how or why? Guess I will get timing set and idle adjusted then see where I am at from there. I do have a check engine light on, no clue what for or how to check it.

Well it sounded pretty good... vitals were good too. Fuel dripping from the throttle body is a bit concerning... the upper intake had to have been soaked for that to happen. It has to be coming from a sort of "intake stand off/reversion". Which is really the intake valve coming closed fast enough to send a portion of the air/fuel mixture back up into the intake. Then holding at constant speed... that fuel clings to the walls of the intake in lower velocity areas... and it appears in your case it's enough to let it puddle and actually drip from the throttle body. I'm sure if it was leaking there... it was also running into the cylinders to some extent. I guess ignition timing might have something to do with it. Starting the spark a bit to early and the pressures in the cylinder could amplify the situation. Maybe dive into some internet descriptions and see if you can find some answers.

Also look in the Tech Library for pretty much everything you need to know about pulling codes on these ODBI systems.

I think this might have been meant for me?

I went with the 6 1/2 inch wide... after measuring distance between the seats I didn't see anyway the 8 1/2 wide console was going in there and let the seat slide un-interfered.

I'm also jealous of your new seats... they're on my list. I opted for a set of covers temporarily until I get the other "have to haves" out of the way. Be sure to post up your install... I need to see it!
