i move the brake lines to the back of the coil bucket. i just need to figure out how i want to mount them. it's just temporary right now.

started shortening the front d-shaft as well.

the front spring hanger nut broke when i was taking it out and i had to cut the bolt to get it out so i had to make my own. i used a piece of 1/4" flat bar i had laying around and welded a grade 8 nut to it. loctited it and put it in. worked perfect and it's no going anywhere if i ever need to take the bolt out again.

put a bolt through the nut and tightened it so it would be square and welded it up then painted it

starting on the rear bumper today, pics later

you mean that's not gonna work? shit, i gotta take it out again!

i started working on the rear bumper today, but it's cold as hell and raining and i drank way too much last night. usually i feel better after i start moving around, but not today. ugggggghhhhh.

both sides will have a piece that goes under like so.....i have to cut where the line is so it'll be level

then it'll get a receiver hitch, some bracing and some sort of tire mount. still working on that part

i just updated on sunday, gah! haha

i have been doing stuff, but i didnt think it was update worthy. last night i rented a ball joint press from auto-bone and got my driveshafts taken apart. the driveshafts use the same size u-joint, so i wont need to do anything fancy to get the flange to work.

i went and screwed up the old u -joint so i had to buy another one damnit. it was only $13, but still.

i'm helping my buddy with his honda right now, he needs a new alternator, so i gotta F with that after work. i'm gonna get a lot done this saturday though

Looking good man, i really like the cut rear fender look.

grassy-ass......i like it too, got the idea from the ultimate adventure b2. i'll be happier with it once i get it looking better. i need to trim a little more so the bumper will be level.

i really like how functional that cut and bumper is eddie... are you doing the matching sliders like the uab2 also?

perhaps, i may use tube or pipe for the sliders, still not sure. i've finally found some metal suppliers around here that dont charge an arm and a leg for metal. they're in a different county, so their taxes arent as high i reckon. what really sucks though, is that i could've made my radius arms for about half of what i actually spent on them. oh well, i know for next time now.

thanks btw

thought i was gonna get a lot done today.....NOPE.

my driveshaft is causing all sorts of problems. looks like i'm gonna have to pay to have my explorer shaft shortened. the old 7.5 shaft is too small to accept the ujoint needed to use the 8.8 driveshaft flange.

so then i decided i'd work on the bumper. i was almost through a piece of 2x2x.250 and my chop saw died. i had a 1 year free replacement warranty on it (up in april), but i had to stop what i was doing, clean up and drive over to the harbor freight. ugggghh. did get some stuff done though.....
