Anybody have some suggestions on some stiff rear shocks for an 87 2wd? Are Monroe Sensa Tracs anything more than ordinary? I plan to haul stuff like firewood and my 15 foot aluminum boat quite a bit, so the truck will see some weight. (I dont mind if it rides stiff)

I may add a helper leaf to stiffen up the pack, but if some good shocks do the trick I may not.

Thanks for any replies.

if you're gonna put some weight in it i would go for some helper springs, what shocks do is dampen suspension reaction, but coil over shocks would help some too.

I was looking at the coilover Sensa Trac "load adjuster" shocks at NAPA, but the guy said they were nothing stronger than regular Sensa Tracs.

(Dunno if thats true, but Im assuming he knows what he is selling)

I wanted the Reflex, but they are all but extinct now.

Helper add a leafs were my first thought, but if good shocks will be enough then that would be good for my wallet.
