Just bought an '87 Ranger a couple of days ago. It came with a ton of spare parts.......two ranger loads of parts.....lol. I will begin trying to make it roadworthy next weekend, as well as going through the parts to sort out what to keep, what to sell, and what to pitch....... I'm sure I will have many questions along the way. I will post pictures soon.

I am with Hoosier on this one :)

Oh, wow...almost two trucks for the price of one!

Can I have that dash if you're not using it? Looks like it's not cracked...the Holy Grail of dashboards...but it looks like you are in the US since the speedo is in MPH and not KMPH...unless it's in Feet Per Second with the Flux Capacitor option...

Looks good...much rust?

I using the dash, but there are a lot red lower dash trim pieces in the extra parts. Not much rust at all, some one already took care of that for me, but the tailgate is shot.

That doesn't look bad at all bodywise. refresh that interior and you got a nice looking truck.

You doan need no steeking tailgate.

Ok, time for some questions.........How do you take the shift boot off to get at the shifter? It has a lot of slop in it and a spare came with the truck. Also what do I need to put intermittent wipers on the truck? The spare steering column has the switch on it, but what else do I need?

The boot can be a bit of a pita too...the screws that hold it down usually rust and the heads strip (Phillips star head) so be prepared to drill them out as needed...but also spray them with PB blaster (never used it before but bought a can and it is amazing stuff)...I guess it also depends on the style a bit as to where the screws are, but generally there should be 4 of them around the lip or inside near the actual shifter...

The intermittent wipers are partially on the column and I believe, IIRC, a box just under the dash near the column...if you didn't have it OEM on this truck it can probably be wired in but you might check to see if it is a prewired option.

May need a new harness if it wasn't an option in the year of your truck...but often Ford used the same harness for all vehicles that included optional equipment connections.
