Ok, time for some questions.........How do you take the shift boot off to get at the shifter? It has a lot of slop in it and a spare came with the truck. Also what do I need to put intermittent wipers on the truck? The spare steering column has the switch on it, but what else do I need?

Not sure on the shift boot. However, by the interior picture you gave that showed the steering wheel area, umm your truck already has the intermittent wipers, or at least the wiper lever has the knob on the end for it lol.

You already have intermittent wipers by the looks of it, as Bill noted. You just twist down on the end of the lever to slow them down.

I just noticed the switch in the truck for wipers.....it doesn't turn though, hope I can just install the other switch and have it work. Got the shifter fixed.

How do I determine which 5 speed I have? How do I check the fluid in it? What kind of fluid is in it?

what does the transmission look like? 4 speed or 5?


is there a pan on it??


at this point in time there could be a m5od or tk4 in it by now, go to the tech library and look at the pics and id tag numbers.

i can say this, if you bought my truck...i dont think the tech library would help much to id the transmission and t case in it....let alone the engine....so keep an open mind
