1987 Ford Ranger Xlt roof mounted led light bar ?

I'm trying to purchase a roof mounted led light bar for my truck, as the title says, my truck is a 1987 Ford Ranger Xlt. I'm not quite sure how to measure for one. I know it sounds dumb, but bare with me, I'm new to this.

I just need to know what size bar I need, or instructions on how to properly measure for one. I would prefer a curved bar, I'm not sure if that affects the measurement that I would need.

I am going to be purchasing the light bar on amazon, if anyone has any recommendations, they would be much appreciated.

Are you planning on mounting it to the roof gutter or directly to the roof?
