1987 BII 4.0L swap,fuel pump questions

Hi quick question for anyone that knows I am going to be swapping a 4.0L from a 92 Ranger and was wondering what PSI the fuel pump needs to be to feed the motor and what will work from the in tank as I will be replacing the in tank on the BII. Any help would be appreciated

ps if it helps I will be replacing all the stock lines with Russell braided lines as my donor one fell apart

I bought my b-2 already swapped. They used a pump from a mustang but I don't recall what year etc. I did have the pump assembly out and it looked like they did a little filing to get the assembly to fit where the is a notch for the tank flange. I do believe that you can also just replace the pump with a later year 40psi pump into your original assembly.

thanks for the reply, I also heard that you can use an explorer pump as well if that is true

The explorer is on the same basic chassis/running gear as a Ranger/b-2. It's known as an RBV = Ranger Based Vehicle

I have a factory 87 pump feeding my 93 4.0, no issues at all. If the pump is in good shape, it should be able to keep up fine.
