1987 Ranger 2.9 5 speed, after a period fo about 20 miles it falls flat on its face and will not accelerate. Had a previous code of 41 and 32. Needed an oxygen sensor and EGR pressure switch. Replaced and did the reset and ran it again and I am getting code 33. Took off EGR valve and cleaned it. It was stuck. I have figured out that I am getting no vac. to the EGR. I tried a new EGR solenoid and it is not that, I am getting power from the red wire to energize it, but the power from the yellow wire is dim at best (test light grounded to battery). Truck has had plugs, wires, fuel filter, dist. cap, rotor and TFI module (old one is still good, keeping for a spare). When I got it the temp. hand did not work, so I replaced the sending unit for it. From what I gather the EGR gets the signal form the coolant sensor, so am I barking up the right tree by thinking that I need to replace that to restore the signal?
