I have a 1986 Ford Ranger, manual transmission.. 2.3 FI engine.. My problem is... My truck cranks up, runs, had a hesitation in the gas pedal. replaced the AIC, found a couple of bad wires to the fuel pump relay and to the eec module relay, Repaired them.. replaced the dist. cap and rotor.. plugs, and wires.. replaced the TFI today... and also fixed a vacum leak ...it will crank up, run okay, but it will still shut off after about 10 to 15 minutes.. ( before it shuts off ) it acts likes it's missing .. went to hit the gas pedal... died out.. would not crank back up... I turned the ignition switch off and back on, didn't hear anything, did this a few times, and then heard the switch come on... ( I think it was the AIC )... I am at wits end on this... anyone out there know what might be the problem? Thanks for your time....
