1986 2.9 cranks wont start !

86 2.9 was running fine then my friend pulled a power amp out of behind the front seat. i asked him if he caped the hot wires off and he said he did but he did not! and i found the main power wire laying on the bed of the truck! ran straight to the voltage regulator.... the motor cranks fine! revs for 1 second then dies but keeps cranking! i replaced the fuel pump, fuel regulator, ecm, its getting good fire and i have power at the injectors! the short fried something! anyone have a idea what it could be? thanks
 
Is there a chance it damaged the Ignition control module ?
