1985 Ranger window bracket

The plastic bracket that is attached to the window that the regulator attaches to broke last week. I was able to find a plastic replacement at the salvage yard today, I also found one from a 90 model ranger thats made of metal. are these parts interchangeable. They look similar, other than the arm on the plastic one. Can I use the metal one instead of the plastic one?

I got installed works great. I did break the inside window seal. It was a little brittle. I'll need to get one. No big deal
