I have a 1984 bronco2 the speedometer doesn't work and I've narrowed it down to the gear inside the transfer case. Does anyone know where to get one or a part number to look it up. It's got the bw1350 transfer case

How does Dakota Digital get their speed reference signal? I hope it's not from a sensor in the speedometer cable. If you have no luck getting this done cheaply, Dakota Digital makes nice after market speedometers, I have one.
Sometime after July 22nd I am going to the scrap yard to pick up 2.8L exhaust manifolds or headers, if you still need a speedo gear let me know and I will try grabbing a few.

I plan on using the Ford speedo kit, basically stick a speedo transmission gear on the end, attach the vss to the transmission, run the wires to the speedo. If my transmission does not have it (being a 4x4) then I will go the hall effect sensor route or upgrade to a later model 8.8 axle. How does Dakota Digital get their speed reference signal?
