Can some please tell me more about a 1984 Ford Ranger F150 V6 4 speed stick with a regular cab? Oh and its 2 wheel.

Would it be worth restoring or sticking money into?

so if its its a full size then it would have a 300ci 4.9 strait 6. if its a 84 ranger you would have the 2.8 v6

Not for sure.

An F150 of that era could be equipped with a 3.8L V6.

They are kinda rare though.

But i thought the "Ranger" trim on F150's went out after 82.

Dustin

I thought the ranger trim ended in 82 also. I read it somewhere at one time i thought. Im not sure about anything on this truck. Could be a few things. Im going to look at it tomorrow. Then i should know and I'll throw some pictures up here.

It is a Straight 6.
Heres Some Pictures.

looks solid. i'd say get it. those 300's are nearly indestructable and decent on gas.
you should restore it.

Its surprisingly in very good condition. The seats only have one minor rip in them. Its been taken care of and I plan on getting it.

If you get it, the first thing you need to do is get rid of the feedback electormess carb and put on a regualer one.

later,
Dustin

when u get it wax it up with some meguiers 3 step wax system and see how it looks. stuff works great but is like 30 bucks for all 3 bottles

It looks like a nice solid truck.

Where did you get Ranger at? I think my Dad's F-350 has "Ranger" under the F-350 emblem and on the dash.

I thought I saw ranger somewhere on it. Or i was getting it mistaken with my other grandpas truck. I hadn't seen that truck in years and i didn't quite remember.

what all would be good to do to this truck? new paint? stuff to the engine? I need ideas and whats affordable and would be the best for this type of truck. This would be my first so I don't quite know.

Like Wrecking said, good wash and wax job, clean up the engine compartment, drive and enjoy for awhile. Paint looks good. Check out all the mechanical parts as time/money allows, then go for the "Pretty" things.
