i did a dura spark swap on my 84 2.8 also swapped carb and it worked great for 2 weeks and then last night it would not shut off when i turned the key off? any suggestions?

it worked fine for a week then all of the sudden wire feeding pos on coil is staying hot when key is off.

maybe your ingnition switch itself if it worked before it should still be working.

If it worked before, a bad switch is all it could be,-- unless by some odd happening, the ignition feed is shorting to a positive feed - but that would be my last thought and maybe impossible.
Check that switch. In theory, you should get a full 12v when starting and about 9v when running.
I just happened to change my switch again recently - the made in Mexico ones don't last anywhere near as long as genuine Ford switches.
(PS: You may have to drill out two rivets holding the switch to the column.)

that is what i was thinking. I thought i would swap out the switch if it does it again. seams to be working ok for now. thanks for the help
