1984 Bronco II HELP!!!

I am going to look at a 1984 b2 today. What can y'all tell me about its capabilities? I live in homer Alaska and there are a lot of steep hills in the area. What are some pros and cons? What can I do to make it better?

2wd or 4x4? What size motor, auto or stick? That makes a bit of a difference, Bro. I owned 2 BII's and I loved them. I only like a bigger V6 motor. Mine had the 2.9 motors. I tow trailers for bikes and 4 wheelers and I tow boats. So I recommend a bigger motor for that reason with a lot of hills. I like a bit of a lift with taller wider tires...33x12.5 tires are my favorite choice. You get a lot of snow where you live and you have to change out the tires or run chains at times.
My Bronco’s handled well where ever I took them. Mountain trails while towing my bikes in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and California were no problem with a bigger motor. Here in Florida we still have steep roads but not like the other states. Just worry about bad rust on the frame (cold snowy weather with salt on the roads). Check gas tank straps for rust. Make sure that heater works!!!
