1963 mercury m-250


well we got it running today mostly her i just pointed at thigs and said what to do. she changed the plugs cap rotor condensor and wires. then i jumped a wire from the battery to the coil and starter solidnoid while she sprayed the carb with brake clean and it started right up like it was brand new

That's one hell of a find... the trucks pretty good too:D
 
i think so haha. i gotta get her to do the oil change tommorow after we go paintballing then its onto finding the leak in the brake line and what it needs for the brakes themselves
 
well we actually got it running on gas today outta the tank and everything. she did the oil change and we drove it about a foot forward and back ward cause thats all the room in the car shelter haha

oh and i orderd a new key and cylinder from lmc truck too. so we dont have to hot wire it anymore :)

and it running the first 1 is when it just started the 2nd is with the choke out and 3rd is at idle once it was all good (oh and the horns loud haha)




oh and i got the tailpipes done on my f 150 finally

That's awesome she's working on that truck Kris. It's a really cool old rig, I've never seen anything like it before.

sorry to threadjack,but i mentioned about a 61 i had before.not a very good pic,but it was a solid truck.kudo's on having the gf help out-you're a lucky man!:icon_thumby:
 
no prblem now i know theres people to ask stuff when i get further in it haha. it seemed for a while like there wasnt gonna be anybody that had had one other then me
 
going down to the boneyard today-i'll see if i can get photo's of the old mercs down there.

no work on it today we went and played football instead. i have a set of american racing wagon wheels 4 it that we we're thinnking of painting the same color as the grill but dunno probally gonna throw the hubcaps back on. and this weekend is sweet peas (mud bog) so im mostly working on my other truck this week

but i was driving it around to get my mud truck out and i came in 19th in my class for the bog. 29 seconds top time was 18 seconds.
 
I know this thread is a little old, but I was curious what ever happened to this truck?
 
guy i knew had two 1 unibody and one like yours, also had a plymouth truck that was pretty cool.
