i have been in the process of restoring a 1940 ford pickup for about three years now. my dad picked it up 25 years ago and never did much with it so i took it off his hands and i have been messing with it off and on in my spare time. it sits on a mid 90's 2wd ranger frame and im putting a rebuilt 302 in it. the engine should be a screamer since it has a lunatti voodoo cam in it with gt40 heads and a holley 650 with an edlebrock intake. im not done with the engine just yet it still needs header and all the odds and ends to make it run but i cant wait to get it dropped in. go easy on her shes a little rough since i dont know jack about body work. as far as a trans goes i dont know much about them either but its getting a 3 speed automatic w/overdrive.

very cool looking, subcribed :icon_thumby:

:drool:oh,ya!

don't fret about the body, she's gorgeous just as she is.the '40 has to be the best looking pickup ever made.by anyone.ever.

Way coool . . .

That thing's a treasure. Go slow, and get help with the body work when you get there; it's too nice to get sloppy with the body. What a sweetheart! :)

thanks guys shes the other love of my life but she's a close second to the wife. i have a friend who is really good with body work so he agreed to help me out with it. i have every intention of doing the rear disc brake swap that is on the tech page from a mid 90's exploder. the best part about the body is its all the original sheet metal that came on the truck, non of that fiber glass crap. i told the wife she has a bout a snowballs chance in hell of driving it when its done lol.

just got my engine mounts finished, figured i would post a pic of them. sorry the picture looks bad its off of my phone. i had to move it way back from its original location so i could get the clearance i needed for the radiator and fan to fit where they need to.

sorry that i dont have any updates on the old girl for you guys but its winter here and i dont have a shop really to work in so until its nice weather more often shes in hibernation.

finally got the old girl started, if i could figure out how to post the video i would but i cant so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Wait, you're in WILLIAMSPORT?!?!? Hell, I'll come help you w/ the body work and w/e else it needs. I live and work in Williamsport.
