17x8 4.5 bs?

Im looking at running 17x8 cragar soft 8s on my 1997 2wd ranger. They only come in a 4.5" back spacing. Im afraid its going to be too much back spacing. Can anyone help with this? I've tried measuring everything but its hard to tell really.

On the back I was gonna run 17x9 with 5" bs. i haven't measured to see if they will fit. I need to get a new floor jack first. If anyone can help that would be great.

Should be okay. OE 15x7 and 16x7 rims are a little over 4" backspace.

Anyone know the hub center bore on a stock 97? The wheels im looking at are 3.3 inch.

Whynot measure the wheels you currently have? and compare?

I'm 5 hours away from my truck. Im a onsite welder and travel for several weeks at a time. Sorry for the stupid questions, just hard for me to answer them being away. I dont want to have to wait another month before I can get it on the road.
