Well just recently I was looking around on craigslist and I found a set of 4 black 15x8 rock crawler rims for $60! They are like new too! I bought them only to find out that a Ford Ranger doesn't have a 5 on 5 lug pattern after all. :P I measured my wheels wrong. So now I have this awesome set of rock crawler rims and they don't fit my truck.

What should I do with em? My dad says we can grind them into 5 on 4 1/2,but I'd rather trade them for the right size. I guess I'll just sell em. I have them listed on Craigslist for trade for the right size. Lol. I don't want to spend the regular price for them. I just bought these because of how cheap they were and I've wanted crawlers for my truck. Hey atleast I only paid $60 for them! Haha.

You could always get a spacer/converter. There are quite a few to go 5x4.5 to 5x5. Kinda pricey sometimes, usual price I've seen is about $100/pair.

Really? I was thinking that there should be something like that. Sweet. So where would I get these adapters?

I know Spidertrax makes them... but only for Jeeps 5x4.5. They told me it wouldn't work on a ranger, but after getting the specs for them, I think they would(at least on the older D28 manual hubs).

It seems to me that it may be a better idea to just sell those and then buy some new wheels with the pattern you need. I mean if you spend $170 on spacers + shipping, and then you have spent $60 on wheels. You could have purchased a set of wheels which fit correctly and dont have the risks that come with running a spacer. I bought a set of Crager Soft 8's (similar style) off of Jegs a few years back and IIRC they were in the neighborhood of 40/wheel. Just food for thought.

maybe find a shop that can add a set of holes the will fit you hub and have a universal lug like you see on some rims? just a thought

dont waste time on customizing. i dont member the numbers right now....but i believe rangers to be a 4.5 lug spacing? anyways i'm about to put on 5.5's, im going to buy wheel spacer adapters. roughly $40/ea on ebay. these is a nice conversion and it will set your wheel out 1.25"ea. i apologize if my numbers are wrong but its middle of night, just want to tell you to consider wheel spacers,, they bolt right on your hub, and the new rim bolts onto them,
