15X7 or 15X8?

Im looking at new wheels and im wondering what width would be the best for a 31X10.50 tire. I can get a 15X7 with 4'' backspacing or a 15X8 with 3.75'' backspacing but cant figure out what would be the best for my truck or if it really even matters. the truck is stock now but i will be adding a 2'' leveling kit when i get the wheels and tires

Go with 15x8. trust me. 15x8 will give the truck a wider stance and you can get a bigger tire size without as many troubles as a 15x7.

15x7's 3 3/4 back space works for me with 33's.....7's will also hold the bead better at lower psi. and hard hits.

Id say 15x8 look better and handle better on road and 15x7 better offroad for reason stated above at least with that size tire

im trying to avoid the tires being stuck out wide like a mexican truck (only way i know how to describe it haha) but im thinking that with those rims that i have been looking at would pretty much sit the same since the 15X7 has a 4'' backspacing and the x8 have a 3.75" back spacing. am i right in thinking that they would sit the same pretty much?

they'd be pretty darn close. The 15x8's would be sticking out about 1-1/4" farther on each side than the 15x8's.

IMO what contributes to the "ethnic" looking vehicle is when the inside of the tire is way out there, like almost even with the fender. You'll be fine because the inside of your tire will only be 1/4" off of where it would be with the 15x7's.
