I'm about to order my tires and wheels and just want some opinions and thoughts of my combo.

This is on my DD. 98 Ranger, 4x4, 3.0L, 3" body lift, torsion bars cranked. 35x12.50x15 BFG KM2's with Eagle alloy 15x12 bullet holes. Only be seein dirt roads and mild mud holes at the huntin club. And some highway.

:icon_cheers:My turbo ranger on tons is for rippin up the mud holes haha

get 15x10s especially if you are gunna be airing them down or else you might pop the bead off once in awhile so the 15x10s should work for what you are doin

I also think the 12" wheels will be way to much for 12.50 tires.

I wouldn't even bother with 10" wide wheels, unless you have a large quantity of spare bearings kickin aorund. Go 15x8's and it'll help keep things together.

12 inch wheels are too big. 10 inch wide wheels will be good for road and off road when you go to air down. as long as you don't go way down in air pressure you shouldn't pop a bead. and also i have never been a fan of using a wheel more than 3 inches smaller than the tire as the tire can start to get the donut affect, so i think 8's would be too small. go with tens and don't look back

They wont be gettin aired down at all. I like the look of a wide tire. And a 11.75" wide rim on a 12.50" wide tire shouldnt be a problem. I dont think.

And I figure change the bearings every 6months or so. I do alot of prevenative maintence anyways. And like i said, Most of its life will be spent driving on dirt roads and highway.

why on earth would you change wheel bearings every 6 months? theres no reason you need to go with 12's, but if you wanna spend your money that way then have fun.

i would still go with the 10s even if you arent airing them down you go with 12s when you get up to like 15in wide tires

the rims I'm running on my 1-ton ranger are 16x7's on 38.5x11.00x16 boggers.

But on my DD i want them wide. I'm set on tires, Just gotta decide wether or not on the 12" wide rims. How you guys think the cv's will hold up with 35's?

i still say go with the 10's. they won't make your tire look skinny and they will work better.

Agreed. I don't understand the wide wheel thing, I like my tires to have some "curves" :D

wide rims look...mexican imo :D

a truck with 10 or 12 inch wide rims looks like a skate board to me

I reckon its all about what you want. I ordered 15x12's. I'll let ya'll know how everything holds up.

I always do maintence from grease fittins, to checkin clutch fluid, It shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the opinions tho guys!!
