Greetings
I have a 96 xlt 2 wheel drive and was wondering if the stock rims on a 2002 ranger 4x4 will fit. Both are 15". Can you also tell me what rims will fit my 96?

thanks
Gary

Lots of information on this, there should be a whole write up in the tech archives. The 2002 rims will fit just fine. All Ranger rims and Bronco II rims fit. Most Explorer rims fit, some Jeep rims, and the list goes on.

Just found out that the tires on the 2002 ranger rims are 245/75/16. Currently my 1996 has 15" rims, other than the speedometer difference does anyone know of any problems I would encounter if I went to the 16". Also what would I need to change for speedometer to compensate for the 16" tires?
thanks
Gary

No issues with the tires/wheels. I think to correct for the speedometer difference you'd need somebody at the dealer to input the correction to the ECU (or do so yourself with a tuner).
