Well that's just flat out wrong. Chrome slows my computer down something fierce, and each new window just makes it worse.

I don't think its Google. I own one single windows based laptop I use just for forscan. It has nothing on it except forscan and firefox. It is a peice of crap and freezes constantly. I have multiple android tablets, and a linux desktop that are on 24/7 and never hiccup. Windows sucks donkey scrotum. So does whatever the heak apple uses. Android and linux are awesome.

Yeah, but most of my stuff doesn't run in anything but Windows.

Almost anything that can run "only on windows" will run on linux. Most things just install with no help. Linux is pretty amazing. The few programs that wont run on linux, you just download a windows emulator. Im no computer wiz, i was back in the days of windows 3.11 and dos. These days eff it, windows and apple are just trash software full of crap.

On my desktop that is linux i run autocad, solidworks, and solidcam all windows based with no issue on linux software. I use ubuntu. You wanna buy an awesome computer... look into system 76 they sell computers made for linux. Fully ready to do anything windows can.
