I have a 96 2wd with the stock rims that are 14. I need to buy steel rims to have winter tires mounted. Is there any problem with me doing this? Anything I need to be concerned about or need to consider?

Thanks in advance.

you can do that. i have some friends that do that. just keep in mind that with 15" rims you can get biger tires then with 14's(14" rims allows not to much biger then stock). dont know if you want biger tires but there it is.

Thanks... I am not actually interested in bigger tires, but Canadian Tire doesn't sell 14 inch rims for some reason. They couldn't tell me why not of course. I just though 14 inch rims were not supported as much or something anymore.

Yes, 15s should be fine. Just be sure to use a tire size that's right about the same overall diameter as your stock ones so your speedometer will remain accurate.
