I have started the search for my next wheeler-4.0L 5 spd,1993-1997 TTB,short bed -were any/many made with the 4WD shifter in the floor and should I pass on the push button T-case models?

yes, some came with the manual case, many people don't have problems with the electric cases, worst case cut the wires for the motor and pull it off and just keep some pliers in the truck, climb under and shift it manually... the cases aren't all that hard to swap either.

If your gonna go through the trouble of climbing under the truck, then get that stupid shifter thingy. BUt otherwise just find a manual t-case and keep your manpride.

There not as handy but I really like the regular cab short bed as far as looks. When I go to buy cars I develop a list of must haves but the more flexible you are the more you can pick up a deal.
