i have a 1997 mazda b4000 4wd auto transmission with electric shift 1354 and would like to swap it to a manual shift 1354 i found one in a 1996 ford ranger but it is a manual transmission and i was wondering if the auto trans will still bolt to it and what parts i will need with the new t-case

any help is appreciated
thanks, Alex

Yeah, it should bolt up to your trans just fine, driveshafts and all

I just swapped a 96 1354M into my 94 Explorer. The only thing I would check is where your 97 picks up the signal for the speedometer.

As a side note, the mechanical speedometer, and electric, transfercase mounted VSS use the same hole.

1997's get their speedo signal from the RABS sensor.

Mid year change? My 97 case still had a speed sensor on the tcase output shaft
