I have had my fill of the electronic shifters. Plain and simple. I rebuilt the motor and switches a couple times on the 90 Ranger. And when we swapped the entire 94 Explorer into the Ranger frame and cab, one of the few things that inconsistently worked was the 4x4. I can't even get it to work now.
I have a 1350M transfer case, unknown year. But the front drive comes out as a slip yoke. Can I get a flange for that, like the "Hack'N'Tap" for the Jeep NP231 T-case? Or, can I use the front output shaft from the 1354E in the 1350M? I had originally snagged this 1350M for free, as a possible doubler range box. But my wheeling has changed from rock crawling to more desert terrain in general.
I've seen the Shifster, and keep thinking it is about the simplest way to get what I want. But then again, I want to shift it inside...
Edit. Adding some more questions... 1990 MD05 output shaft, from the original Ranger drivetrain, what spline count, depth and diameter is that shaft? And guessing the spline, depth and diameter are the same for the 94 A4LD? Are there other pure manual transfer cases available?
