1350 tranfer case problem

Can't get my 4x4 to engage fuse is good. Took off the motor to the transfer case the triangle shaped shaft coming out of the tranfer case has turned & is in the wrong position to go back together. tried turning it it by hand it just turns back between 4high & 4 low . Won't stay in the 2 high position. Any ideas. Thanks Todd sorry it's a 86 BII 2.9 electic shift auto hubs.

I am a bit curious of this myself, if I ever have this problem. But I would try jacking the rear up, both wheels of the ground chuck the front wheels and put trans in neutral. Then rotate the driveshaft while trying to get the t/c triangle shaft to switch to the 2hi position you think it should be in. (With a channel locks or vise grips, maybe) I guess its an option, but up to you if it is worth trying.

I tried turning with pliers it just turns back kinda like a spring i might try turning rear wheels tomarrow.

I jacked it up turned the wheels went right back to 2 wheel. cleaning motor didn't help think its controll module. The little white button beside the red light does not push in at all. Will try to get one from a salvage & try again.

would swapping in a manual case be an option for you? fewer problems to my way of thinking.

Maybe down the road cant right now it's my daily driver. Would be great to know it's going to work when you need it.
