Problem: My auxillary 12volt power outlet quit working yesterday..

First thing I did was check the fuse, it has its own dedicated fuse but it was still good. I replaced it anyway, still not working. What else do I need to check where do I go from here? thanks in advance i know someone will have an answer...i hope :icon_confused:

Multimeter time! check in the aux plug, then trace it back to the source. Check hot to frame. If you have power there, check continuity of the ground wire (end to end). if you don't have hot to frame power, check hot wire continuity (end to end). When you get power different from the last check point (or no continuity in a wire), narrow the gap. Eventually you will find the break.

Its just weird to me how it was working fine all day. I had my gps plugged up cruising around and then all the sudden I had no power at the outlet...oh well, guess i'll see what i find.
