Amp:
Pioneer Premier PRS-D1100M
400w RMS x 1 channel at 4ohms
600w RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms
Wiring Kit:
Street Wires Power Station 4g kit (power wire is blue) with an 100amp in line fuse and fuse holder
I did this because now when I upgrade to an amp that pulls more I can still use this wiring kit safely.
Subwoofer:
Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1200F shallow mount 12" 4-ohm subwoofer
carbon-glass fiber composite cone with butyl rubber surround
cast aluminum basket
50-350w RMS
Pictures should be up in less than a month.
I have a build thread going, look around for it.
Probably will end up peeling back the carpet, cutting to fit my amplifier and mounting the amplifier to the back of my cab.
I took the armrest out of my 60/40 split bench seat, and will have my subwoofer be located there.
My box is going to be as follows:
30" wide (still up for change, need to measure a few things)
13" tall (can't go any taller because of a bump that is in the way)
4.5" top depth
5.5" bottom depth
giving me barely over .8cf with .5" mdf (which is Kendwood's reccomended enclosure for sealed and ported boxes for this subwoofer)
I will be making a hybrid box. I will be able to keep it sealed when I want, but also have a ported box when I want.
Basically, the port tube is going to screw into a female/female piece of pvc. then there will be a male/sealed piece (if you think about blocking off a household pipe... this is what I am talking about) that will go over it, thus making it airtight (theoretically... as very minute amounts of air
may escape.. but practically no box is perfect) if i want a ported noise, i simply unscrew the male/sealed piece and !bam!.. ported.
