#1 torsion bars?

hi, i was looking to replace my stock torsion bars with #1 torsion bars (because i heard theyre stiffer/stronger).... the torsion bars i have now are cranked, but starting to sag a little bit with my bumper and winch i have mounted on the front.

so my first question is: how do i know what bars came stock on my truck? i checked to door sticker but nothing obvious jumped out at me...what am i looking for?

and secondly, where could i find some #1 bars to buy? if my truck doesnt already have them...

It will be on the door under SPR I believe, then you will see something like 1K or BK. Whatever the first letter or number is, that is what bars you have.

Then look at junkyards, around any ranger forum or the dealership.

ok thanks. yea i found it now. it came stock with the b bars. ill have to look around to find some #1 bars.

I have a 98 ranger..do I need to find #1 bars from a 98 ranger or are they a standard size for multiple years?? i guess ill look around to try and find a part number for the bars...

should be able to get them from any 98+ ranger, then some explorers and sport tracs but I don't remember the years
