1 pc. Conversion?

Last week hit a rock when offroading. Would make this horrible knocking sound when turning while on the power. Figured I bent my driveshaft (ahhh perfect time to convert to one piece before the lift).

The install for the one piece drive shaft goes pretty swell. Except its hitting the bottom of the cab? I broke out the angle grinder and clearanced it.

The same problem remains. I get on the power and hear this horiible banging sound coming from my driveshaft/ rear end.

Someone please Help

Take off the rear axle housing cover and look around?

It seems to be only when i break the tires loose too

You mean spinning the tires?

Sounds like the rear spider gears blew up. Or at least something in the rear end.

So if I take the rear cover off, would I be able to see the remnants of my rear diff, or would i haveto take it all apart?

pop the cover off, and visible to you inside of the carrier will be four gears called the side and spider gears, which are probably stripped. Happened to me last year.

Thanks for the help guys. Ill take it apart later this week. Something that stumps me though, is that the sound is directly beneath the cab- or it seems so
