Just replaced the shifter on the 87 Bronco and man does it make a whole new truck. All except for the clutch. It will be perfectly fine until the vehicle warms up. I've not bled it yet, that's this weekend. Is it the master, slave, clutch, or do you think it simply needs bled? I had the slave go out on my ranger, losing fluid every time I pushed the clutch, not have that problem with this one. The master seems to look new, but dont know the maintenance record on the truck. Whatcha think?

Forgot to mention. that when the clutch is pressed, the fluid level in the reservoir doesn't move.

I would try bleeding it first. You wont see the fluid level change when pushing the clutch in.

it would be the slave cylinder. Its leaking, not hard, but worsening. Tranny is out of the B2 until i fix it.

update: after taking the slave cylinder out of the transmission I noticed that the retaining pin to hold the quick connect in had gone missing. This would explain the leaking and effects of a bad slave due to air being inducted into the system. I took a look at the seals while I had it out, they appear to be fine, but will be test benching tonight. Have to replace the bleeder screw first, thing wrung off on me yesterday.
