'04 Bed On A '93

All beds are the same from 93+

Although it wont match your body lines, it will bolt up fine. Just make sure they're both the same style of bed. (stepside, longbed, etc) Well, actually you only have to worry about the longbed. A stepside will bolt up fine, you might run into filler neck issues though.

The body lines will be the same, all 93+ rangers have the same body lines.

just swap the taillight harness. 93 had 3 bulb setups and 04 has 2 bulb setups.

Those two statments contradict each other. the body lines will be fine, because your first statement is correct. Just make sure that it has the right number of bolts in the bed to match yours. I know in some of the newer Rangers, they come with like 8 or ten bolts versus the 6 that I have. Im gonna say that an 04 will have 6 though. I think its some of the newst ones that have all those bolts

If I'm not mistaken the rocker line is higher on an 04 than on a 93. I'm probably mistaken though, I'll go check. I have both in my driveway right now along with an 01. Everything should match up with the exception of that, unless I'm wrong.

My '93 is an STX 4x4 with the bolt through fender flares. I'm assuming I might just have to drill holes in the '04 bed?

the body lines will match from 93+, the fenderlines will match from 93+ unless u have a mazda b series bed.
if it has flares u can take em out or put the same flares on the front.

u can fit em by drilling new holes on the new bed.

What is wrong with the old bed? Is it rusted out?

It's rusted pretty bad up under the back of the bed, as well as right above the exhaust tip. A friend of mine backed into the side of it as well so now there's body damage. Instead of trying to repair it, I can get an '04 bed for $400. That seems like a pretty good deal even though it needs to be painted.
