I blew my 3.0L with 94,900 miles exactly...... I always wanted to stuff a V8 in her before I hit 100k. What better time than now. As far as I know I'll be the only one to do this to a newer generation Ranger.
38's, 3" body lift, cranked torsion bars.

The Crank just got back to me from being belt polished and the engine will be coming together this weekend. I'll have more pics up by Monday.

good luck on your project :icon_thumby: since you're going through the trouble of an engine swap, might as well go big and SAS the front end. that would make a badass rig.

where in tampa are you? i live in hudson, if you know where that is.

And 2wd it will stay!! can you say prerunner! :icon_hornsup:

I actually live in pinellas park, but yes I know where hudson is. I thought about doing a SAS but I'd rather prerunner it cause no one around here has one.

Its an EFI out of a 90' F-250.

oh, shit, you're like less than an hour's drive away from me :headbang:

a prerunner build would be badass as hell, there's only two people that i know of around me that lifted their two-dig trucks. one of them is me lol i've had three rangers now, the first two were 2WD and i lifted the both of them. i've still got one of them and use it as my mud truck :D

Yup. My friend and I were starring at the truck for about an hour(:icon_confused:) and wen't through an 18 pack () before I could make up my mind between SAS or Prerunner haha. But ya you aint too far. You ever seen trucks rollin around that say SWAMP CREW on em? If you have I roll with them Just about everywhere.

There is only one other person around here that lifted his 2wd and he's a dumb ass 17y/o Chevy drivin queer. lol

nah, i haven't seen swamp crew. i know a bunch of TBAJA guys though. i don't know if there's a lot of them down by you though.

38's? Damn... Interested... I got a windsor that I'll shoehorn into my ranger when the 3.o blows... So I gotta see how this goes!

Ya ive heard of TBAJA but never seen any of em.

yes sir! 38's 3" body lift Cranked torsion bars and prerunner fenders w/3" flare and rise. The swap is oing smooth so far. We just blew the 3.0 in my buddys 99 and we're puttin a 4BT in it after my truck is done. and workin on an 89 bronco sas now too. But my truck is #1 focus right now.

there's another mud group around here, i can't remember the exact name of 'em though. it's like florida mud dogs or some shit like that lol but i see a few of those trucks here and there.

rangers will always take precedence over anything else :)

Ya I like rangers cause they're light and durable. I'd tke one over a jeep or toyota any day everyday. I'm all ford trucks til the day I die. This ranger i'm building is my first and only vehicle and I'll never get rid of it. I'm lookin to buy a 3 or 450 for a hauler soon. I worked at a ford dealership in orlando for 3 years and I still only work on fords.

you ever heard of "rancho" its in z-hills

yeah, i've heard of rancho. never been there before. i used to put around dry lake and crews lake, over in shady hills, if you know where that is. now, i go to horse hole up in levy county every other weekend lol badass mud hole, dude.

Ya I've been to horse hole a couple times. Its ok up there. Rancho is awesome cause its no holds bar. me an my friends go out there a lot and shoot our guns and have fires and party with a bunch of people. I kicks ass out there. lots of mud and lots of trails. I like Redneck Yacht Club and Triple Canopy Ranch. You hear of those places?
