So I have an 03 xlt 4x4 flareside, and I am having a heck of a time trying to find a peculiar fault. First off, some back story. I recently bought the truck, it was running great, and for about a month i drove the heck out of it, no problems at all. Put almost 2k miles on it. Then out of the blue, she shut off on me. D.e.d. dead. Would not crank at all. Anti theft light was on, check engine light was off. No communication with the pcm. Checked and cleaned all grounds, checked and cleaned the connectors, did wiggle tests on wire harnesses. All fuses good, had proper voltage at the pcm relay, had a much reduced voltage at the sensors. Checked the pcm diode and it was bad replaced the diode and still no good. Replaced the PCM, and she fired right on up! Jobs a good'un, right? Nope. 3 days later left me on the side of the road. Got it towed back to the ye olde shade tree, and i forgot i had the ignition set to run, pulled the diode, put it back and heard her click. Started right back up. Pulled the underhood fuse box apart, cleaned and checked the wires and connections there. Pulled the drivers kick panel and checked all the wires underneath the dash, no worn or dammaged wires there. Took it out this morning, ran like a champ. Let it idle for like 30 minutes, no issues. Went to get lunch today , she shut off just outside my driveway... and here i am. Pulled and replaced the pcm diode for kicks, and she cranked, but immediately shut back off. And thats where i am at. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!
