My credo
no F**ks to give
it shakes at idel pretty bad not to much and not bad all the time. it idels fine and it shakes no were esle in the rpm band. its worse when its cold and sometimes just as bad when its warm. i have no check engine light and no peding codes, my o2 sensors even read good. there are no knocks pings or mis fires. ive replaced my plus with bosh double plats. i have atempted to clean my idel air valve wich seemed to help a little. and i did mess wiht the little set screw by my trottle body but not in extreme amounts. any help or sugestions would be great. im thinking maybe fuel filter or wires maybe even my coil pack or some vacum lines but im not throwing a code so help is need from people who are exsperinced with this. thankyou for your time:icon_cheers:

a small vac leak could be part of the problem and wont throw a code. spray wd40 around all vac lines and air passages to find it.

uneven compression more than 10% diffrence to the cyl. next to it.
blown head gaskes bridging 2 cyl togather, compression and leak down test will work for bolth.

damnaged harmonic ballancer

do a full tune up( motorcraft plugs, wires and fuel filter). it might not solve your problem but you need to start fresh, and better MPG is always good.

my 3.0 had all of thies problems but a blown head gasket.

and a bad coil will throw a code.

thankyou. i have already cleaned the idel air valve changed my plugs to bosh double plats goign to try cleaning my throttle body. whats my harmonic dampener? and i will have my mechanic look into broken gaskets and a compresion test. my idel has smothed out a little but even at that the shaking was never super bad. enough to notice it an possibly annoying me(wich is why i came here) and enough to shake my intena while sitting.

i will also be buying new wires this week, and a fuel filter.

mech told me it was my throttle postion sensor.
