Hi, I have an 02' supercab with these plastic bed rail caps http://www.dragtimes.com/images/10085-2002-Ford-Ranger.jpg and I really want them off and I want the low profile caps, I cant find any bolts and prying at it seems like I'm risking breaking something so instead of trial and error I thought I might as well ask if anyone has a quick answer for me, thanks.

I have never removed a set, but I would look for hardware around the stake pocket area first. I assume Ford would use the stake pockets to install them. There are four stake pockets, one at each corner, with circular holes on the inside of the bed. Look in the holes and see if there is anything inside.

Sorry I can't help more. Someone here has to have removed a set before.

There are screws underneath the beds lip.

There are four smell plastic caps on the the top inside of each rails. Pop those off and there will be an allen wrench screw head there. It is very simple process. It takes about five minutes to take them both off.

You have to remove the little rectangle plastic caps that u see on the inside top. There are like maybe 4 to 6 on each rail I dont rermember, they come off with a tiny screwdriver. Under them are allen nuts . loosen the allen nuts and it will come right off. I just had my truck painted and the dumb paint guy pryed mine off of 1 side till he figured it out. Now mine are all messed up
. By the way how much do u want for em.

Thanks for the replies they all helped and I will get them off tomorow,

bbbb51, I dont really want to sell them unless your in vancouver BC canada, shipping is way to much of a hassle for me.

Be ready for some worn out paint under the rails. I took mine off less than a month from when I bought it new and there was already damage to the paint.
