02.5 dodge Dana60

Easiest way is by the size of the pinion yoke nut:

1-1/8" = D50
1-5/16" = D60

Yea, other than that the only difference is the guts and inner axle shafts.

I wouldn't run the Dodge D60 hold out for a Ford D60 my balljoint was $92 for a 1992/3. I would rather have a Ford D50 than a POS Dodge axle. Someone mentioned rear axles, Ford 1999 vans can be full float 10.25/10.5's or D70's with disk brakes. They are rare, but somehow I found one hopefully its not gone between now and this weekend at the upullit.

Ok so I've found a really really good deal on an 02.5 dodge front d60...
It's the one without the vacuum CAD. Is this axle worthy of using or should I keep searching for a Ford 60.

I found it for $150 with a mangled 4 link bracket, that's way better than a $1000 Ford axle...

150 for the CAD-less 2nd Gen D60 is a steal. You could trade it for a Ford 60 if you talk to the right people. The 2000-2002 2nd Gen's ran 32 spline inners but can be converted to 35 spline/chrome moly for 600 bucks.
