I built this truck a few years ago(3or so) for a friend, dident know where to post it but it turned out nice.

The truck is a 2001 ranger ext. cab with a 3.0L and an auto trans, and yes it kinda hurt to chop it up like that.... but the pay off was sweeeeettt.

If you like street trucks let me know what you think of this one.

I do not have any pics of the project before we started,Also this is the first air ride system i had done.

Just look at the Pic of the front, note the door handles were shaved(not by us) and the popper stoped working at a car show....hints the ext. cab window.
We installed 1/2inch line and valuves, this truck would hop on air....really it would.

Just a pic of the bed, paint is a caddy peral.

That is his sons name in the middle.

this is the closest one i could find to finished,

shortly after this project we stoped talking, he said he would help me with the paint job on my cay. Needless to say 3years later my car is not painted, but now i have an hvlp gun and a good air compressor so now its on!

This truck i built!! he was on grinder duty....
I WILL TRY TO POST MORE PICS AS I FIND THEM, I think there are more on my myspace.... www.myspace.com/djkillag

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

I'm just wondering two things...
First why you would run a stressed member to the frame BEHIND where
you C-notched the frame?

Second why you wouldn't use a box (square tube)
for your airbag upper mount crossmember?

But that's just the engineer in me...

Well both crossmembers are square tube 2-1/2"x2-1/2"with a1/4" thick wall.
After 3 years the truck still drives fine and has not broke,(other then valve issues) even with the 1/2"line and valuves. as far as the "stressed member" as long as the top mount ties into the upper and lower crossmembers and the frame then your fine.(A v-bar set up was later installed to keep the flex down, as he was hopping the rear about4-5inches off the ground.)
Also this is how the owner wanted the truck to look, not my truck or i would have ditched the crosses all together and went with something else, but the top mount is over the rear links to give the rear end about 6more inches of lift. like i said this is how he wanted it, i just cut and weld things so they dont brake.

it looks good so far, My pnly question is why are you running a 50/50 link? I would have four linked it and did a bag on bar set up. Also what part of Oregon are you from?

Jackson county.(eagle point/white city)

and im sorry.... i really need to find the other pics, they would help so much.

Nice truck by the way looks clean.
