2001 ford ranger xlt 4 wheel drive, 5 inch suspension lift, have 20 inch rims, what's the biggest mud tires that could fit?

I dunno.
It'll clear 31s in stock form, probably take 33s with that. Might need spacers and a bit of a body lift to clear 35s.
There used to be a chart in the tech library that had this info.
Buy the biggest tires you can find and then sand them down until they fit.
Take your 4#er and keep smacking the fenders until they fit.
